Solid Ground
Cabin Basecamp
Our cabin features a loft with bunk beds that sleeps six and a private bedroom with a queen bed. It’s comfortable, practical, and built for hunters who want rest without losing the feel of camp. Satellite TV is available during season if you want to catch a game before turning in. We are licensed and bonded in the State of Colorado and operate as a family-run outfitting business focused on doing things right.
Land of the Elk
High Elevation Drop Camps
We operate three drop camps between 10,000 and 10,500 feet inside Gunnison National Forest. Camps are fully equipped with tents, cooking gear, and essential supplies. Hunters and gear are transported in by horseback. Fully guided options with cooks are available, along with unguided drop camps for experienced hunters who prefer independence with support behind them. Camps are checked regularly, and harvested game is packed out efficiently.
Room to Hunt
Private Forest Ground
Our permits and private land access allow us to hunt the Hubbard Creek area in its entirety. In addition to National Forest ground, we have strong private land opportunities that give hunters added flexibility and reduced pressure. Archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons run September through November, with specialized and combination hunts available.
Built for the Terrain
Horses & Transportation
Our well-trained mountain horses are strong, steady, and used to steep terrain. They carry hunters and gear into camp and pack game out cleanly and efficiently. We also provide transportation from Grand Junction or Montrose airports to camp and back at the end of your hunt.
Handled Right
After the Shot
We assist with proper field care of your meat and trophy. Game is transported to the local processor, and we can coordinate delivery to a taxidermist if needed. Hunters are responsible for processing, shipping, licenses, and personal gear, but we make sure your harvest is handled professionally from field to drop-off.
Off-Season
Summer in the High Country
When hunting season winds down, the mountains are still wide open. Summer at Hubbard Creek means long rides, cool mornings, and quiet timber. The same country that holds elk in the fall offers wide trails, open meadows, and high-country views through the warmer months. If you want to experience Colorado from the saddle, this is your time.
