Hubbard Creek Outfitters has been guiding hunters through Western Colorado for decades. Originally established in 1995 by Larry Allen, the operation was purchased by Dustin Braslin in December 2021. Dustin grew up in the mountains on horseback and began guiding with his father at age 12. His life has always been rooted in hunting, horses, and the backcountry, and he brings that lifelong experience to every hunt, pack trip, and day ride.

Hubbard Creek Outfitters manages over 6,000 acres of private property in addition to public terrain, giving you opportunities few other outfitters can match. Whether you’re in a drop camp, guided cabin, or private land hunt, our setup ensures you can focus on the hunt while we handle logistics. Each drop camp includes tents, toilets, essential gear, and a Garmin Inreach for communication. We check on hunters regularly and handle game pack-outs efficiently and safely.
Guides & Support
Our guides know the elk migration, habitat, and terrain inside and out.
Colorado elk guided hunts follow a 7-day schedule: one day in, five days hunting, one day out. Drop camp hunts range from 5 to 9 days and can be customized to fit your goals. Beyond hunting, we offer guided pack trips into Gunnison National Forest. We provide transportation from Grand Junction or Montrose airports, and can deliver harvested game to local meat processors. Clients are responsible for personal gear, licenses, and processing fees.
